Wherfore art thou softball?

I'm debating if I should take up umping softball games this summer to make some moolah. I've never watched a baseball game in my life or played softball (actually, that's a lie if you count gym class but I don't think that counts..), but I do have the rules of play, hence the debate.

This week has been super annoying. Every single morning, I wake up to my alarm, snooze it a few times, convince myself to finally "dismiss" it, fall back asleep for what I think will be five more minutes, and end up waking up thirty minutes later. It's actually getting on my nerves.

Sometimes my sister says the strangest things.

We recently discovered a new channel on our tv that plays country music videos all day. Yesterday, I decided to waste some time and watch the channel for a little bit. My sister walks in and says, " Country music videos are stupid. They always put these pretty girls with these not-even-cute guys." I have to say, I completely agree with her.

Listening to bird calls and trying to memorize them is difficult work.

In comm, we're reading Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. I'm Margaret, the slutty maid. Lovely.

I'm lazy, here's a music video :)

Have a good three day weekend!

Funny Bone

I actually love this picture. so much. It might be the most enjoyable cat picture ever.

This week, I figured out how to take screen shots on my laptop!! I have taken atleast ten screen shots since then. However, the sad part is that I have had my laptop for more than a year and a half and have just figured out how to used this marvelous feature.

Found this ad in the kitchen. I'm not sure if I should be surprised that the word pink can be used so many times in such a short passage. (This is a screen shot of the electronic version of the ad!)

I have realized something about my self this week. I am not a funny person. As depressing as that sounds, let me clarify. I'm not good at being funny when put on the spot or in a situation that requires humor, but I'm funny in a cheese-fest kind of way. Haha just another week of introspection..

One of my snappy comebacks this week:

Amy: God! This kiwi just pricked my finger!
Me: Who are you, sleeping beauty?

Yeah, it was pretty epic.

I enjoy driving wheelchairs. Is it possible to have that as a summer job? I would love to just drive people around in their wheelchairs.

I finally got my much needed hat. It might be my favorite winter accessory. That sounds super girly but hats and gloves/mittens are important!

So I'm considering getting a Ping. It's that music social network thing on iTunes and I'm not sure if it's the next logical step or not. I mean, I'm already obsessed with music, why not get a music social network page... right?

I recently discovered a newly found appreciation for Buca di Beppo. The Alfredo Fettucini (my favorite pasta besides ravioli and cheese tortellini) is to die for. Also, they have etremely appropriate statues and fountains (that was a joke people.)

One of my personal favorites.

Amy Poehler is a beast. Just throwing that out there. I also think that she is funnier than her husband, Will Arnett (no offense to him).

Harry Potter is just so connectable to anything really. This morning, we had a teaching project in Euro and we were talking about a picture of a train station and how the architecture looked. Then, one of the girls who was presenting mentioned that it was, infact, King's Cross Station. Immediately, everyone exclaimed something about Harry Potter. We even got our teacher talking about it.

I was victim to a brilliant idea five seconds ago. Brilliant idea: instead of typing out this week's playlist, I'm going to post a screen shot of it!! I have also just decided that this will now become a regular practice, not something for this post. It seems very clean and cool. Hope you like the playlist!

Happy Holidays!

So it's Christmas Eve and I probably should be watching 'It's A Wonderful Life' for the millionth time with my parents, but you know what they say! Traditions are meant to be broken. Especially if they involve irritating and repetitve movies.

Yesterday I watched the best tragic love story movie ever. No, I am not exaggerating. I'm not usually convinced by tragic love stories like The Titanic or even Romeo and Juliet, but at the end of this movie I was sobbing. It might be the most cute, charming, sad, and tragic love story movie out there. It's called Love Story (original, I know) and it came out in 1970. To be honest, I wasn't very enthusiastic when I popped it into the DVD player, but it was AMAZING. Ryan O'Neal (who looks super yummy in the movie) and Ali MacGraw have done a really good job and I hope everyone loves it as much as I do.

I love Erika Grinde.
Erika: "I wouldn't want one [a country accent], that brings your IQ down by how many points?"
Erika: "And all the black people were like daang! what happened girl?"
Erika (while referring to Reese Witherspoon): "I have her chin."

I think I might have died if we didn't have winter break this week. Thank God.

All this snow that we're getting is starting to worry me. We've already had two major snowstorms within a matter of three weeks and we just got another 2 inches today. When the snow melts in the spring, we are going to have some major flooding.

I have never liked Scarlett Johansson. She's always bothered me and like always, my vibes didn't fail me. She's the one who broke Ryan Reynolds' heart, not vice versa! (This is the part where I'm thinking 'I told you so'. )

Okay so there's no playlist this week, simply because I was too lazy and have been listening to the Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas CD. Don't make fun of me, the songs are cute! However, I am thinking about posting a music video everytime I don't have a playlist. Credit goes to Amy Leininger for showing me this, I absolutely love it.

On Monday night, I was passing our bathroom and I heard my sister singing (Yes, she does sing in the shower. She's ten years old, give her a break) probably the best Christmas song  I've heard in a while. It was actually so funny that I later asked her to sing an encore for me! However, what was even funnier was her asking me to post the song on my blog so that she would maybe get famous. So here I am, writing out my sister's Christmas song. Enjoy!

Deck the halls with poison ivy
Fa la la la la, la la la la
'Tis the season to be naughty
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Break a window, pop a tire
Fa la la, la la la, la la la
Set the Christmas tree on fire
Fa la la la la, la la la la

Happy Holidays everyone! :)

Questions, questions

I love Jake Gyllenhaal. So much.

So apparently uptown is the new place to shop?
I have never been to uptown but now I'm tempted.

How do you know if you're friends with a guy? Probably the question of the week for me.

I'm excited!! Wayzata's having a Sadie-Hawkins Dance!! I don't know why I'm excited considering that I don't know who I'd ask but I still am!

I just saw Percy Jackson this week and even though the acting was pretty bad, I still want the next movie to come out soon! On a somewhat related note, it's awkward when your little sister is all of a sudden using words like "hott" and "yum" when describing male actors. My sister is apparently in love with the actor who plays Percy in Percy Jackson and thinks his "muscles" are "extremely good looking." Why can't I stop laughing?

It seems like these last two weeks have left many people severely injured.
Shout out to Mara Dougherty and Abby Jones, hope you guys heal fast!

So not only do I not have any type of radar besides one that senses vibes,
I am also pretty gullible.
Suprising?

Wow what a rough week for celebrities! Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens broke up && Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson got a divorce.

On to the playlist...

Soup of Goodness anyone?

I LOVE SWEET CORN SOUP.
It just might be the best soup in the whole world. For Thanksgiving, me and the fam went to Chicago because a whole bunch of our family friends got together. The FEAST included mock turkey (because we're vegetarians), mashed potatoes, some cauliflower type thing, sweet corn soup, and pumpkin pie. OH MY GOD. The minute i tasted the sweet corn soup, a little fiesta took place in my mouth. The first thing i thought was "what a soup of goodness!"

This might've been the first Black Friday that I didn't leap out of my bed and try to get to the mall as fast as possible. I was very surprised with myself.

I am officially 3 episodes behind on glee. I desperately need to catch up. So far I haven't seen Puck come back, Gwyneth Paltrow (whom I absolutely adore) sing, and the apparently super sad episode of this week.

I officially love Fiber One bars thanks to Shreya Ramanujan.

Finally finished Havana Nights. WHAT A GREAT MOVIE.
Javier and Katie are one of the cutest couples!
Plus, Javier is super attractive. no complaints there.

I don't have a gaydar.
According to urban dictionary, a gaydar is "the ability/gift of being able to detect homosexuality in other people."
I don't have this gift. Apparently Elton John, Enrique Iglesias, and Tom Cruise are gay.
How the heck did I not know this??? I feel sequestered.

I watched Prince of Persia last night. I think I'm in love with Jake Gyllenhall. Just sayin'.

I think snow looks and feels better in the morning. There's something about waking up to snow. Winter wonderland is the first thing that comes to mind. When I'm walking home from my bus stop after school, I'm definitely not thinking the same thing. It's more along the lines of "why is my house so far from the bus stop?"

Dear Amy, Rosalie, and Meaghan,

Can I please crash the next prank call party?
I promise not to laugh hysterically!

Lemme know if it's cool!
Aditi
